[cs=2][atrb=style, padding: 8px; border-top: 1px dashed #aeaeae; opacity: 0.7;][STYLE=height: 100px; overflow: auto; font: 7pt arial; text-align: justify; padding: 6px; ]HISTORY OR EXTRA INFORMATION; nadie's upbringing was something of an oddity, even among morphs. created and raised in the dc branch of the government, nadie was a special experiment. her dna gave her more destructive potential than most could hope to handle, and they could only wish she would never be given reason to use it; many accommodations had to be made in order for her to exist peacefully, but the most notable was her isolation. for the majority of her childhood, nadie was kept in a sealed, monitored room, and interacted with only briefly when meals were delivered or examinations were performed. in absence of people, she practically failed to become one. her vocabulary was incredibly limited, she never learned to read or write, and her knowledge of social customs was nonexistent. her entire life existed in a vacuum. with nothing contributing to the development of a personality, she instead took to doing as she was genetically inclined to do; attempting to interact with the harsh voices that filled her mind became her primary social outlet, and she sought physical comfort in the form of the objects that littered her room. days at a time were spent in her own mind, listening without understanding, curled up under a pile of blankets in the darkest corner of her room. this illusion of company and closeness was the foundation of her existence for years. as time passed, things stayed the same in the confines of her room, but in the rest of the facility, a rebellion was stirring. for the first time, she was to see the outside world; most of those who escaped were brought back without much trouble, but in a select few cases, drastic measures were necessary. every few months anatta would be fetched from her room by the government's most trusted capture agents to be taken on special assignments. while she had hardly been conditioned to fight, she was successful in the field largely due to her obedience and the unrestrained strength in her skills. combined with her dna's lack of type weaknesses, the government had an eager and practically indestructible tool at their disposal. and she was eager. it had never occurred to her that there was an entire world outside of her room, and it wasn't until she had been exposed to it and all of the exciting things that it offered that she knew what she was missing. her typical activities didn't bring her any less joy, but she actively thirsted for the fresh air, a chase, the process of exploration and discovery. tasks more engaging than staring at a wall in her solitude. with an entire world to be explored, her room started feeling smaller and smaller. days passed in anticipation of the next day she'd be able to go outside; whenever people would come to her door, she'd rush over like a puppy in hopes of being let out. too much time spent alone and she'd begin to act out, making attempts to unlock the door, trying to break the one-sided mirrors through which she was observed, and generally creating chaos in hopes of receiving attention. some of her kinder supervisors would bring her into the facility's fenced-in courtyard after hours, but as her antics carried on, they recognized the same rebellion in her that had been present in all of the others. hoping to kill her flame before it could consume her, orders were made for interaction with her to cease. again, she was confined to her room and left alone. for a while, things went from bad to worse; simple fits for attention turned into destructive tantrums, lasting for a few hours to a few days, persisting until she lost the energy to carry on and resuming when she found it again. worn down with exhaustion, and with her exertion failing to pay off, the fight eventually left her again. returning to her pile in the corner, she went on as she had before, losing track of the days. and then the place exploded. beyond confusion and alarm, she didn't have the capacity to think about the event as it occurred, but with the walls down around her, she knew she had a way out. this was also the first time she realized how many people shared the building with her; following some of the ones that were still moving, she eventually made it outside with the rest of them. at a loss for what to do or where to go, she stuck with the crowd, picking a few faces to make familiar and following them as they paved their way to the next destination. she didn't know where she was going -- still doesn't, not really -- but here she is. the streets of new york are her playground, and she's not in any hurry to go anywhere else.
