Since Nadie had left the facility in DC, she had not once stopped exploring. With an entire world to view at her disposal, there weren't enough hours in the day for her to see it all, but that wasn't going to stop her from trying. It had been some time since she had followed everyone to this new city, but left to her own devices, it seemed as though time had barely passed at all; every day brought with it new sights and new sounds, new faces and new experiences, and none of it ever got any less exciting. That being said, some things were more spectacular than others, and if Nadie knew what a gold mine was, bounding through Bronx Park, she would have been sure that she had found one.
Zoos, like many other things, weren't something she was familiar with. From the outside, most people wouldn't have considered the place exciting or remarkable, but the crowd it gathered was enough to peak the girl's already held interest. Once she was inside, though, to say she was amazed would be the understatement of the century; even surrounded by children, the green-haired youth was easily the most excited person on the grounds. Pokemon and people were things she knew well enough, but she wasn't even sure what any of these things were. If she knew how to ask, she would have, but instead, she spent her time flitting from exhibit to exhibit, picking her favorites and dedicating them to memory.
Absorbed in her experience, face pressed against the glass, she had gone almost two hours now staring into the otter enclosure. Going inside the exhibits, she knew now from experience, was apparently not allowed, but that didn't stop her from occasionally phasing an arm through the glass to try to get their attention. Why were they even there if you weren't allowed to pet them? Flailing around a bit following another failed attempt, she made no effort to stop the upset whimper that escaped her, slumping again against the clear barrier that kept her so cruelly from getting what she wanted. It was torture, but her wonder for the situation never faltered.
Rolling onto its back, one of the creatures retrieved a rock, only to drop it again on its face. Forgetting her frustration, the girl let slip a giggle before becoming immersed once again. There were no wins or losses to be had.
